On March 17, 2026, Dr. Jolanta Aidukaitė, Dr. Kristina Senkuvienė, and Dr. Rūta Ubarevičienė from the Institute of Sociology hosted the closing event for the project “Ensuring Housing Needs: Problems and Prospects in Lithuania” (No. MIP-23-37) at the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences.
During the event, the project team highlighted the main challenges facing Lithuania’s housing policy and sector within the European Union context, and discussed residents’ satisfaction with their housing and their housing needs.
The event also included presentations by guests, such as Daniel Ilkevič of the Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania, along with experts from the Construction Sector Development Agency, Mindaugas Pakalnis, and Rūta Marija Slavinskaitė.
The researchers’ findings presented at the event are available in both academic publications and a science communication article.
